24 Sept 2020 - 2 Oct 2020  - 8 night stay with 7 days painting

cornucopiaThe Verrocchio Art Centre, nestling in the walls of the hill-top town of Casole d’Elsa in Tuscany, Italy is one of Mark and Isabel Fisher’s favourite places to stay, to paint and draw and to immerse oneself in the Italian culture.  The “Centro d’Arte” is owned and run by the British sculptor, Nigel Konstam, who has lived there for over 30 years. Nigel’s work appears round every corner and is kept company by the work of other artists who have visited the Centro over the years. The accommodation, living areas, terrace, studio and charm of the old town provide a unique environment that inspires and nurtures the creative spirit.

rooftopsTeaching in a relaxed, flexible way Mark and Isabel take you on a different adventure every day.

Demonstrations and mini lessons to show different techniques, help you to develop your own work. An opportunity to learn lots during the week, which will inspire, long after you return home.

A chance to explore, sketching, watercolour, oil paint, acrylics, pen and wash, and mixed media. Projects cover a wide range of subject matter with landscape at the top of the list but also architecture, street scenes, perspective, roof-scapes, interiors and still life.

Mark and Isabel’s week in Casole d’Elsa is enjoyed by new students and returners, who can not resist the informal, fun and creative atmosphere that only the unique ambience of the Verrocchio Art Centre can provide.

Mark & Isabel Fisher have been working together creatively for over 35 years developing their own practice.

mark and issismMark loves to encourage and enthuse artists of all abilities, and runs regular classes and workshops for adults from his studio in East Sussex. He visits groups for demonstrations and workshops throughout the South East, and also manages to paint for himself most days. He is  active within the local artist community and sells his work in the UK and internationally.

Isabel paints and draws and has worked in clay and porcelain. Over the last few years she has been teaching clay sculpture classes locally, as well as exploring sculptural work from her clay studio at home.
